The PSP Summer Camp got off to a great start last week with the DiscoverE Team leading the kids through some amazing activities.

The 6-9 age group were immersed in Aquatic Discoveries. This week they learned about marine life by making their own stingrays, a magnetic fishing game, arctic slime and blubber hands.

The 10-12 age group was busy discovering nature in Flora and Fauna week. The campers made an outdoor shelter entirely from items they found in nature. They made paint from the plants they found on their nature walk, as well as a plant maze and rain forest dioramas.

Both groups spent some time at the Col JJ Parr Aquatic Centre on Friday, having a splashing good time in the pool and at the splash park. They have also been utilizing the outdoor facilities at the Col JJ Parr Sports Centre including the soccer fields and beach volleyball courts. They spent lots of time outside playing and making new friends!

If you are interested in the PSP Summer Camp, or any of the programming offered by PSP, contact the Col JJ Parr Sports Centre welcome desk at 780-840-8000 extension 7823.
