LCol J.S. Kettles assumes command of 410 Squadron

LCol James Kettles has taken command of 410 Tactical Fighter (Training) Squadron, succeeding LCol Seane Doell.

LCol Kettles is posted from NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany, where he had been the department director of the Joint Targeting Interoperability Curriculum. This is his fourth posting to Cold lake, where he had previously served with 410 Squadron (twice), 441 Squadron and 409 Squadron.

LCol Doell has been wearing two different CO hats since July 12, when he took command of 4 Operational Support Squadron. He had been CO of 410 Squadron since July 2016.

410 Squadron was initially stood up in Scotland in 1942. Since 1982, the squadron’s primary role has been training pilots on the CF-18 Hornet fighter.
