Major Kevin “Jodie” Foster is the Deputy Commanding Officer of, and a CF-18 pilot with, 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron. He is from Calgary, Alberta and has been a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for nearly 15 years. During that time he has also been a CF-18 pilot with 425e appui tactique de chasse in Bagotville, Quebec, and a CT-155 Instructor Pilot with 419 Tactical Fighter (Training) Squadron in Cold Lake, Alberta. He has deployed on operations over Libya and in Eastern Europe as well as on numerous other operations and exercises throughout Canada and the United States. He stands ready to serve his country whether overseas, or in support of Canada’s NORAD missions, such as escorting Santa.

Captain Mike Bukhman is a pilot with 409 Tactical Fighter “Nighthawk” Squadron, based at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta. He has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 6 years and is serving on his first tour with a Fighter Squadron. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, his training has taken him from Ontario, to British Colombia, to Saskatchewan, and Alberta. As a proud Nighthawk, he has the opportunity to train with world-class pilots on a daily basis in order to be ready for all aspects of the job, including tracking Santa through North American airspace.

Master Corporal Ashley Saunders is an Aviation Systems Technician with 409 Tactical Fighter “Nighthawk” Squadron based at 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta. She is from Springfield, Manitoba and has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 10 years. During that time she has had the opportunity to maintain the CP-140 Aurora and train other Aviation System Technicians in maintaining the new CH-147F Chinook. She now specializes in fixing power plant, fuel, flight controls, landing gear and the hydraulic systems on the CF-188. This is her first opportunity to escort Santa.

Corporal Jordan Charlebois is an Avionics Systems Technician with 409 Tactical Fighter “Nighthawk” Squadron based at 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta. He has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years. He is from Tiny, Ontario. He specializes in maintaining the radar, communication, navigation and electronic warfare systems on the CF-188. He fills most of his free time with volunteering at the local high school coaching the senior girl’s rugby team.
