Departure with dignity

Major Sullivan
We would like to congratulate Maj Gail Sullivan for her retirement after 39+ years of service. She joined the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in March 1980 from Newfoundland as an army financial clerk. During her career, she has been posted to Cold Lake, AB, Petawawa, ON, Edmonton, AB, Kingston, ON, and St. John’s, NL. She deployed to Bosnia and Afghanistan. In 2010, she was commissioned after completing her degree. She was posted again to Cold Lake, but this time as a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Logistic Officer. After years of hard work and dedicated service, for her last position in the CAF, she was the Wing Comptroller. Her service and dedication were celebrated at her Depart with Dignity and retirement function on 1 March 2019. After retirement, Gail will join the 4 Wing Personnel Support Program (PSP) staff and continue to support 4 Wing and its members in a new capacity. She will stay in Cold Lake with her husband John and want to spend more time with their grandchildren. Congratulations on your retirement and good luck in the new chapter of your life.
