417 Squadron helps BC respond to wildfires

Jeff Gaye Two CH-146 Griffon helicopters and 10 personnel from 417 Combat Support Squadron are in BC to help with the wildfires burning in the province’s interior. 419 Squadron, which had previously been a unit of 15 Wing and a lodger unit at CFB Cold Lake, was transferred to 4 Wing authority on Friday. Earlier, 431 Squadron, based in Moose Jaw, was transferred from 4 Wing authority to 15 Wing.
