Work continues at gas station site

The Courier Tanks and lines have been removed from the site of the CANEX Expressmart to prepare the area for remediation of a 2016 fuel spill. Studies are underway to determine the best way of cleaning up the contaminated soil and groundwater at the site. Work is expected to begin later this year, and as a result the building may be demolished. An earlier study identified the extent of the contamination.

Soldier On offering paddling camp in Tofino

Canada will send Aviation Task Force to UN Mission in Mali

DND/Global Affairs Canada Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, and Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, have announced a commitment to deploy an Aviation Task Force to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) for a period of 12 months.
