Smile cookies raise cash for MFRCS

Cliff Kenyon Smile…be happy…and it only costs you a loonie. It’s the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign, a national event which includes the three Tim Hortons restaurants in Cold Lake. All proceeds from the sale of the Smile Cookies from Sept. 16 to 22 goes to the Military Family Resource Centre Society (MFRCS) at 4 Wing. Why are they smiles? Community Registration Night at Energy Centre

CANEX SuperMart at 4 Wing Cold Lake hosted lunch as part of their customer appreciation event on August 21. Original Joe’s served food with their Heart Cart and there was a show and shine event. Military Family Resource Centre Society was also there with games for kids.

Toronto film makers Emmet Koudis (left) and Azamat Rahmaty were at 4 Wing making a film at Military Family Resource Centre Society for the True Patriot Love Foundation. The Foundation, a charitable organization raising funds for military members and veterans, has worked with MFRCS, which is involved in suicide prevention programs. The film will be shown at the charity’s fall gala in Toronto.
