Pete Zedlacher was one of the four Snowed In Comedy Tour comedians who performed on Sunday at the MFRCS as part of their Morale Booster series. Pete told stories of doing stand-up comedy for the troops in Afghanistan (eight tours & counting), buying his first home, and speaking English in France. It was a full-house, with over 260 military members and veterans attending.

LS Brenda VanderVies, a medical technician, receives a Christmas wreath at Military Family Resource Centre Society. Fund manager Judith Chance said MFRCS wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and purchased 130 of the wreaths to give to military families as part of their annual Christmas program. Recipients had to call in advance to claim a wreath. The free wreaths of tree boughs were all claimed within a day.

Cookie campaign exceeds expectation

MFRCS It seems perhaps an unlikely team, but Military Family Resource Centre Society (MFRCS) at 4 Wing and their pals at Tim Hortons in Cold Lake are celebrating a victory and have lots to smile about. The recent Smile Cookie campaign raised $23,308.75 for MFRCS, far more than originally expected. It’s simple.
