Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) is asking for your help in planning the 2025-2026 school calendar. A short survey is now open for parents, students, and staff to share their thoughts.

The survey covers topics like:

When the school year should start and end

When holidays and breaks should happen

How many professional development days there should be

The NLPS Calendar Committee, which includes parents, staff, and other stakeholders, will use the survey results to create a calendar that works well for everyone.

If your child attends Art Smith Aviation Academy (ASAA), located at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, this is a great chance to ensure your family’s needs are considered. ASAA serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 and is a unique part of the NLPS system, with close ties to the Canadian Armed Forces community.

Complete the survey by January 21, 2025, on the NLPS website. Your input will help shape a school calendar that balances learning with time for family and community events.
