The 4 Wing Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Community Recreation team hosted their annual Gingerbread Junction on December 13th at the Mackenzie Arts and Community Centre, bringing festive cheer to local families. Attendees enjoyed a variety of holiday-themed activities, including Gingerbread house making, colouring, free popcorn and hot chocolate, open play, and more, all infused with the magic of the season. Families were also treated to a special visit from Santa Claus, who delighted children with his presence and even created personalized drawings for those who requested them.
“This year’s Gingerbread Junction was a tremendous success,” said Jenn Bain, Community Recreation Coordinator. “Despite the chilly weather, families came out in full force, filling the event with laughter and smiles. A heartfelt thank you to Rob and Kathy’s No Frills for generously providing the gingerbread houses, and to Santa for adding extra magic with his visit and drawings. Each year, this event grows stronger, and we’re so grateful to our community for making it such a joyful tradition.”
