Members at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Cold Lake gathered at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess on June 1 to mark a Change of Appointment ceremony for the Deputy Wing Chief Warrant Officer position.

During the ceremony, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Kyle Seleski officially handed over responsibilities to Chief Warrant Officer Bernie Antle.

CWO Seleski concludes a distinguished 25-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces after enrolling as an Aviation Systems Technician in 2001. Throughout his career, he served in Trenton, Cold Lake, and Ottawa, deployed on operations in Afghanistan, and contributed to several key aerospace maintenance and fighter force initiatives. Promoted to Chief Warrant Officer in 2023, he served as Deputy Wing Chief Warrant Officer for the past three years. He will retire from the Canadian Armed Forces later this month.

Incoming Deputy Wing Chief Warrant Officer Bernie Antle brings more than two decades of military experience to the role. Originally from Grand Falls, Newfoundland, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2001 as an Aviation Systems Technician and has served at units across Canada, including deployments to Afghanistan, CFS Alert, Kazakhstan, and Romania. Most recently, he served as Squadron Warrant Officer at 10 Field Technical Training Squadron. In 2024, he was appointed to the Order of Military Merit in recognition of his outstanding service.
