Residents of Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Cold Lake and the surrounding community are invited to celebrate Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, as the City of Cold Lake hosts a full day of activities at Kinosoo Beach.
The celebrations begin with a parade before moving to Kinosoo Beach, where visitors can enjoy family-friendly entertainment throughout the day. The festivities will include live performances, vendor alley, beer gardens, and an evening fireworks display over Cold Lake.
Among this year’s featured performers are internationally acclaimed hoop dancer Dallas Arcand, the Hula Hoop Circus, multiple musical artists, and Canadian rock band The Northern Pikes, who will headline the day’s entertainment. The City says performers will take to the stage throughout the day to ensure visitors have plenty to enjoy as they take part in the celebrations.
The City of Cold Lake describes itself as a proud military community and says Canada Day is an opportunity to celebrate alongside residents, visitors, and neighbouring First Nations with one of the community’s largest annual events.
Canada Day festivities are free to attend, with a fireworks display planned over the lake to wrap up the day. More information, including event details and schedules, is available on the City of Cold Lake’s Canada Day webpage.
