Dear members of 4 Wing & CFB Cold Lake,

As we reflect on 2025, we recognize the challenges and opportunities that have shaped us. This year has been marked by resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence. As we approach the holiday season, a time affectionately known as the “silly season” at 4 Wing, the spirit of camaraderie shines through in our traditions: team luncheons, hockey games, office decorating competitions, unit dinners, the “At Home” event, and the ever-popular Sticky Floor gathering.

Despite facing demanding conditions, including unpredictable weather and ongoing infrastructure upgrades, 4 Wing & CFB Cold Lake has once again demonstrated operational excellence. Our Tactical Fighter Squadrons have sustained combat readiness, and our training units have produced highly skilled technicians and pilots. From executing critical rescue missions to improving vehicle and equipment serviceability, and delivering exceptional administrative and logistical support, your efforts have been nothing short of outstanding.

Equally important has been our commitment to enhancing programs and services for our members and their families through chaplaincy, PSP, and MFRCS initiatives. These efforts reflect our dedication to well-being and community, and we look forward to advancing these supports even further in 2026.

While it’s impossible to capture every achievement, when we step back and consider the collective accomplishments of the past year, it’s clear that 2025 has been remarkable. Each of you has contributed to this success, and you have much to be proud of.

As the command team of 4 Wing & CFB Cold Lake, we encourage you to take time this holiday season to relax, recharge, and enjoy moments with family and friends. Stay safe in all your activities and prioritize your health and well-being.

Thank you for your dedication and professionalism. Here’s to an even stronger year ahead!

Happy Holidays to all!
