The 4 Wing Messes Festival of Trees has officially wrapped up for the season, with winners announced following weeks of holiday cheer, creativity, and friendly competition.
Beginning December 5, members of the Cold Lake military community were invited to Club 41 to view a festive display of decorated trees created by squadrons and units from across the Wing. Visitors were encouraged to take in the decorations and cast their votes for their favourite tree, helping decide this year’s top entries.
When voting closed, the honours went to 410 Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron, who captured first place and will be treated to a pizza party at the Mess in recognition of their winning display. 10 Field Technical Training Squadron (10 FTTS) earned second place, while 417 Combat Support Squadron (417 CSS) rounded out the podium in third.
“This year’s competition showcased the incredible spirit of camaraderie and collaboration within our community, bringing everyone together in the true holiday spirit,” said the Messes in a statement. “Thank you for making the Mess a vibrant and welcoming space to celebrate the season. We can’t wait to see even more creative ideas and teamwork for the 2026 holiday competition!”
