The Mackenzie Arts and Community Centre at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Cold Lake was transformed into a festive wonderland on December 14th as families gathered for the 4th annual Gingerbread Junction event, hosted by 4 Wing Personnel Support Programs (PSP).

The event featured activities for all ages, from building and decorating gingerbread houses to playing holiday-themed games. Children enjoyed the Open Play area, while families took the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, who brought extra cheer and posed for photos with attendees.

“The Gingerbread Junction was a resounding success, with 228 attendees—nearly 100 more than last year! It’s heartwarming to see the community come together to ring in the holiday season. We are grateful for the incredible turnout and look forward to making next year’s Gingerbread Junction event even more special,” said Morgan Thorne, Community Recreation Supervisor with 4 Wing PSP.

Gingerbread Junction has become a tradition at CFB Cold Lake, bringing together military families and the local community to celebrate the season.
